Why is sand play important for children?
Sand play can enhance hand-eye coordination and help develop fine motor skills as children pour, scoop, sift and shape it.
Using sandpit tools and toys when playing with sand benefits children's grip strength and builds strength in their hand muscles.
By engaging in sand play, children can enhance hand-eye coordination, and sensory exploration. They can also foster their imagination, problem-solving skills, social interaction, and communication abilities.
Cloud Nine
Role Play.
We do not claim to be a big activity centre, but we are defiantly small and mighty! We are not like others around with climbing and jumping activities but we focus on development and educational aids for children.
We have focused on wooden toys as they are timeless and have a different feel from plastic toys. The very nature of imaginative play means that children will have to decide what they are going to play, with whom, what the rules are, what they need in order to play or what cognitive thinking. Using props such as dressing up clothes, pretend food, books, coins, help your child learn about imagination, healthy eating, numeracy and literacy! All while having fun!
Why is pretend play important for children?
Research indicates that pretend play offers significant benefits for child development, aside from the obvious benefits for creativity and imagination. It has been found to promote cognitive development, strengthening language skills, and it also raises self-awareness as well as empathy.
